Eduardo Cordero Is The 2009 Midwinter Champion
Clearwater, FL - Eduardo Cordero used his full arsenal of weapons to win the fifty-six boat Midwinter Championship. Over the 12 race series, Cordero found himself deep in the fleet on multiple occassions. However, smart tactics and a clear understanding of the conditions, coupled with his unmatched downwind speed allowed him to fight his way through the fleet. This resulted in a consistent score card that include 8 race victories, and no finish worse than 5th place. Eduardo was the only sailor in the fleet to not finish outside the top 5.
