FEDERACIÓN DOMINICANA DE VELA, INC.
This event will be governed by ISAF 2001-2004 Racing
Rules of Sailing (RRS), the Rules of the Sunfish Class and the Sailing
Instructions.
The Sailing Instructions will be available upon
check in at the Registration Table.
All
participants must be members of their respective National Sunfish Class
Association from South America, The Caribbean or any other Area of the World,
since this is an open event, and be eligible according to the ISAF eligibility
Code as explained in the regulation 21, Appendix 2 of the RRS.

BOAT
AVAILABILITY FOR RENT:
The boats will be reserved on a first come first
serve basis, according to the order of reception of the Registration Form.
This is a CATEGORY C event, according to the ISAF
Regulation 20, Appendix 1 of the RRS.
Registration Fee: US$75.00
Charter Fee: US$100.00 (Hull & Spars Only)**
Damage Deposit: US$50.00 (Refundable after inspection of returned
boat)
** Note: You
have to bring the Sail, Rings, Rudder, Daggerboard, Lines, etc.
No
holes will be allowed on the Hull or Spars. Any system to be installed
must
be unmounted without damaging the boat.

Procedure:
Please send a check for US$75.00 to the Order of
ASOCIACION DOMINICANA DE SUNFISH with the Registration Form, to the following
address, before May 20th, 2002:

Safety Note: It is not safe to use regular mail to Dominican Republic. Use a
Courrier like Fedex or DHL, or send to our Address in Miami.
The Courses to be sailed will be Triangle or
Windward/Leward as indicated in the Sailing Instructions.
The 720 Turns Penalty will be in effect according to
the Rule 44 of the ISAF RRS.
The Low Point Scoring System will be used
according to Appendix A of the ISAF Rules.
Six (6) Races are scheduled, and at least one (1)
must be completed to constitute a Championship. Each competitor may discard his
worst score after five (5) Races are completed.
The decisions of the Jury will be final and will not
be subject to Appeal.
The Top Three Competitors, the winner of each Race,
the Top Junior, the Top Woman, and the Top Master will be awarded with
Tropies. There will be special awards
for the Farthest Traveled and to the Must Enthusiast Participant.

Hotel Availability is limited. We have blocked 60 rooms, but all participants must make their own reservation as soon as possible to secure their room . The Organizing Authorities will not be responsible for changes in Hotel Rates or the releasing of non-reserved rooms.

Children 0-12 yrs are free when they share a room with 2 Adults. Children by themselves pay like Adults. One child staying with one Adult will pay 50% Adult Fee. Superior Rooms allows up to 4 people including Children. Standard Rooms allows up to 2 people, and no children are allowed (1 Queen or 2 twin size beds). A Credit Card is requested to file the reservation. No penalty will be charged if you cancel at least one week before the event, or one night will be charged. Check in at 3:00 pm. Check out time is 1:00 pm.

Bayahibe
is located on the South East Shore of the Dominican Republic, 20 minutes from
La Romana City. La Romana International Airport is located at 15 minutes from
Bayahibe. Las Americas International Airport in Santo Domingo and Punta Cana
International Airport are located at 2 hours from Bayahibe.
There
will be Transport Services from/to those Airports to/from the Hotel. Please

& departure) to pick you up.
