Sailing Instructions
Rules:
This regatta will be governed by the 1997-2000 Racing Rules of Sailing, the prescriptions
of the United States Sailing Association, the (your sailing association)
Regulations for Sanctioned Events, these Sailing Instructions and each fleet's own class
regulations except as any of these rules are altered by these Sailing Instructions.
Alterations of Racing Rules:
The Racing Rules are modified in accordance with Racing Rule 86.1(c) as follows:
Appendix A2.1 Number of Races and Series Scores Each boats series score will be the total of her race scores.

Fees shall be $00.00 for each yacht registering with a $00.00 discount for USSA members. Members absolutely must present thier USSA Membership card at registration to receive the discount.
Notices to Competitors
Notices to competitors will be posted on the official bulletin board located (somewhere).
Changes in the Sailing Instructions
Any changes in the sailing instructions will be posted on the official bulletin board
before 0900 on the day the change is to take effect.
Racing Area
Courses and marks used will be described at the skippers' meeting
Starting
Races will be started in accordance with Rule 26, System 2 in the order announced at the
skippers' meeting. The Race Committee will attempt to hail premature starters.
Protests
If a yacht intending to protest is unable to finish, notification of this intention must
take place at the first reasonable oppotunity. US Sailing Protest forms must be completed
and submitted to the Race Committee no more than thirty minutes after the last boat
crosses the finish line. This docking time will be posted on the official bulletin board,
however, Code Flag "L" need not be hoisted for this notice.
Time Limit
The time limit for the first boat to reach the first mark is 45 minutes. The time limit
for the first boat in any class to finish will be one hour and thirty minutes. Yachts not
finishing within two hours of their respective starting times will be scored DNF
Scoring
The Low point scoring system, Appendix A2.2, will be used.
Penalties
The 720° Turns Penalty, rule 44.2 of the Racing Rules will apply.
