Sunfish Spring Series #2

January 31, 2004

Although a sizeable front dampened most of South Florida on Saturday the
31st, we had luck at Sailor's Point: the rain stayed away during all six
races. The clouds kept the sailors cool and the wind blew at a steady 10-12
knots for most of the day. Thirteen optimistic Sunfish sailors couldn't stay
away, even with a bleak weather forecast, and as usual, the competition was
fierce and fun. It was just a another example of the truth in that old South
Florida adage: If you wake up and it's raining go to your boat because it
will be clear by the time you get there.
