The Upper Keys Sailing Club conducted the Holiday Isle Sunfish Championships on Saturday, January 31. Under cloudy skies, but favorable wind conditions at about 10 knots out of the east, 14 sailors vied for sailing glory. The race committee consisting of Commodore Tom Butler, Gordon Cahill, Tom Trump, Ralph Moreau, and Bill Ewing held four races in front of Holiday Isle Resort who sponsored the regatta. Sharon Berry handled registration and shoreside activities. The sailors were divided into three divisions based on age. The results were:
