is a Must Read!
See if you can guess who this is. He and his kids spent many hours racing with us in Sunfish even though his first love is clearly the Laser. http://propercourse.blogspot.com

Launches Boating Blog

Charles Zusman long time friend of SANJL recently retired from his full-time post at the Star Ledger and immediately launched a blog about boating in the area. Check it out. He very often mentions SANJL!

2010 SANJL Jr ChampionshipView Results

Green Pond was the host of the 2010 SANJL Junior Championship. Twenty two young sailors gathered to test their skills against each other in the light August winds.

Simon Bertocci overcame strong challenges from Andrew Daniel, Alec Manson and Elena Khtoretsky to win the Junior division and David Graff sailed his way to victory in the Midget division.

For Simon this is his second time winning the event. He won the event in 2008. He also finished forth overall in last year's SANJL Championship series.

The competition in the Junior division was strong. The top four finishers had all just returned from the Sunfish North Americans and the top three had sailed at the Youth World Championships in July.

The 2010 Championship brought together many young sailors. The core of the large fleet were junior members of the Green Pond Yacht Club. Most were attending their first regatta. They are a strong indication of a positive future for SANJL.

Thank you to everyone who contributed their time to make this event happen.
