Jabbo Gordan Invitational April 16, 2005

Danny Escobar of Fort Lauderdale won all five races to capture the
adult Sunfish division at the annual Jabbo Gordon Invitational Regatta
on Lemon Bay in Englewood on Apr. 16.

John Kremski of Fort Myers placed second in the eight-boat fleet and
Jack Scruggs, also of Fort Myers, took third.

In the 11-boat youth division,  Charlotte Sims grabbed three firsts
and two seconds to garner the victory.

Becky Rom finished second and Mike Mierswa came in third. All three
sail for the host Venice Youth Boatig Association.

Other classes in the one-day regatta, sailed over a trapezoid course,
included Lasers, Radials, Optimists Dinghys and Walker Bays. Shifty
winds, 10 to 15 knots, were mostly out of the north-northeast.
