Adrianna Barron Wins Women’s Division at the 2017 Bolivarian Games

Peru’s Adriana Barron has won the Gold Medal at the Sunfish Women’s event of the 2017 Bolivarian Games, held in the northern Colombian city of Santa Marta.  The Bolivarian Games is a regional, Olympic-style, multi-sport event held every 4 years in honor of Simón Bolívar.  This year’s games are attended by athletes from Caribbean, Central American, and South American countries.

Daniela Rivera from Venezuela captured the Silver medal while Francesca Balta also from Peru took Bronze.

Men’s Division starts November 23 and will see familiar faces contending for the gold medal to include, 2017 Senior and Youth World Champions Alonso Collantes and Angello Giuria from Peru.  They will be joined by world’s top-ten perennial finishers Ecuador’s Edgar Diminich, Peru’s Jen-Paul de Trazegnies, and Guatemala’s David Hernandez.
