Cancellation of 2018 ISCA Youth World Championship

Posted August 07, 2018

To:  All World Council Members and NSCAs

I regret to inform you the with less than 60 days left until the 2018 ISCA Youth World Championships, we still have only two sailors registered.  At this point I do not feel to wait until the end of August to have 23 additional Youth Sailors registered.  Therefore, after meeting with the Carolina Yacht Club on the evening of August 6th, 2018, I have decided to cancel the Youth event.

Any youth sailors who desire to compete, may still register for the ISCA World Championships.  All youth sailors will be scored separately and a 2018 ISCA Youth Champion will be declared.  World Sailing’s rules permit the running of the two World Championships together.  We cannot waste precious resources nor make plans for a regatta with only two sailors registered.

A modified NOR will be posted at the Event Mini Site

Stay tuned for further announcements.
