Posted April 24, 2017

The first New England regional of 2017 will be held June 10-11 (a week later than in recent years) at the Barrington (RI) town beach. For the 50-somethingth year in a row the event will be hosted by the Barrington Yacht Club.

Registration is now open and there is a signifigant late registration penalty. Registrations received by the end of May are $75. It goes up to $100 after that and $125 for same-day registrations. This is a qualifier for the 2018 World Championship, which will likely be held in North Carolina. Get your registration done early! Learn more/register.

But the season doesn't begin with the Regional. The hearty Barrington Frostbite Assn. will be wrapping up their spring season this Sunday, April 30. Racing is open to anyone who wishes to get out on the water and compete. As is tradition, Andy David and Bill Brangiforte are locked in a tight duel to come out on top. Learn more.

The 49th-annual (!) Bolton Lake Regatta will be held on May 21 in suburban Hartford, CT. This small lake event has been one of the biggest draw on the New England calendar in recent years. Learn more.

The folks at Lake Massapoag in Sharon, MA will be hosting their annual Small Boat Regatta on June 3. Registration is also open for that event. Register/learn more
