The Barrington (RI) Yacht-Club will once again host the first New England Regional Championship of 2016, June 5-6

Due to some unforeseen issues beyond the control of Sail Salem, they are not able to host the 2016 Sunfish Youth and North Americans this year.

Scott Greenbaum ruled the day in a brisk NE breeze with very strong competition from Cam Chafee and Brett Adams of Saunderstown.

Former North American champ Doug Kaukeinen of New York, fresh off winning the second New England Regional of 2015, bested a 45-boat fleet to win the 2015 US Sunfish Masters Championship. 15 states were represented at the Massapoag (MA) Yacht Club. Combined more than 80 boats were on the line in New England for consecutive weekend championships!

Doug Kaukeinen topped a 39-boat fleet to win the 2nd New England Regional of 2015. Including a separate junior fleet there were more than 50 boats on the water! Another huge and competitive fleet is expected at the US Masters Aug. 1-2 in Sharon, MA.

The International Sunfish Class Association invites you to apply as an “At Large” entry to participate in the 2015 Sunfish World Championship to be held October 11 through October 17, 2015 at Yacht Club Peruano, Paracas, Peru.

Bill Brangiforte and Scott Greenbaum battled all weekend but Brangiforte took home first place in the first Sunfish New England Regional of 2015.

Bill Brangiforte edged Andy David to take the 2015 Frostbite series held at Barrington (RI) Yacht Club, while Eric Woodman came on strong late in the day to win at Bolton Lake (CT). Don't forget to register early for the Barrington Regional.
