Alonso Collantes of Peru has won consecutive world championships -- With a North American Championship in between!

In dominating fashion, Alonso Collantes won the World Championship. He finished with a net of 33 points (13 net races) easily topping a fleet full of past major champions./

2016 started with the right foot for the Peruvian Sunfish Class with the first ranking regatta of the year having a record of participants in more than 30 years with nearly 40 sailors in the water.

In an effort to simplify the depowering process the Class has voted to allow two halyards, plus a third depowering ("Jens") line as of Jan. 1, 2014.
