The 2017 Sunfish racing season is about to get started in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

The summer racing season is in full swing with 3 East Coast Regionals, the North Americans and the Youth NAs all in the next two weeks!

Sixteen competitors for the regatta with a 2017 Worlds berth on the line.

If you’ve been thinking about making it down to North Carolina for a Harkers Island Regatta, this would be a good year to hit the road for our 15th annual running and extended party weekend July 15-17.

Due to some unforeseen issues beyond the control of Sail Salem, they are not able to host the 2016 Sunfish Youth and North Americans this year.

The Southeast Regional kicked off again at Carolina Yacht Club 1853 at Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. The regatta started off with some excitement on the way out to the Ocean Course. On the 45 minute sail out to the Ocean, Sailor Jamie Deale from Southport N.C., noticed a man being pulled out into the inlet and struggling to keep his head above the waves and tired.

The International Sunfish Class Association invites you to apply as an “At Large” entry to participate in the 2015 Sunfish World Championship to be held October 11 through October 17, 2015 at Yacht Club Peruano, Paracas, Peru.

My Own Bloody Yacht Club’s 14th Annual Harkers Island Regatta drew competitors from New York to Florida for racing July 11th & 12th in eastern North Carolina in what has become one of the larger Sunfish Class events in the United States.

One of two Sunfish SE Regionals to be held this summer was hosted by the James Island Yacht Club, in Charleston, SC on June 20 and 21.
