In an effort to simplify the depowering process the Class has voted to allow two halyards, plus a third depowering ("Jens") line as of Jan. 1, 2014.

The North Americans will be at Bay Waveland Yacht Club in Mississippi at the end of July/Beginning of August.

The Pensacola Yacht Club in the Florida Panhandle will host both the Sunfish International Masters and Sunfish Midwinter Championships (with a day of team racing in between) the week of March 23-29, 2014

The Worlds will be held October 5-11, 2013 in Lewes, Delaware, US. Sails will be provided to all competitors. All slots are now taken.

The Women's North American Championship is coming to David Island Yacht Club in Tampa Sept. 20 to 23. The NOR and registration site is now live.

16 year old David Gonzalez of Venezuela bested a fleet of 70 competitors, the heat, the weeds and a stiff sea breeze to win the 51st Sunfish NAs at Brant Beach New Jersey.
