Greetings Sailors!
The 2025 Annual meeting was held at the Fairhope North Americans. Brief highlights of the report to membership included a recap of the class strategy ‘Creating Value for Members’ and how each component of the strategy is being addressed. One of these is developing the education component for members which has led to the series of seminars we are offering this summer. We have a new one (2-part series) lined up for August which I hope you all enjoy. We have also revamped our financial strategy to enhance growth by converting from a single CD to a broader capital investment strategy. In addition, we have incorporated a 501 (c) (3) as the USSCA Foundation and are currently establishing a board for this foundation and are filing with the IRS for tax exempt status. This will allow tax deductible donations to be made that in turn will benefit class members. We are at the beginning of setting this up, so more to come on this development.
