Crooked Lake Yacht Club Summer Series (O) CLYC, Oden, Michigan

 

We race Sunfish twice a week on Wednesday and Saturday, from June 27th to August 8th, except for July 4 and one special event which includes a Sunfish class.  The first start is at 1:30 pm.  We typically sail three races per day, with the last race being what we call a pursuit race, where the self-selected top boats start several minutes behind the rest of the fleet, the time delay depending on the length of the course.

 

We normally have about 10 boats racing, and all are welcome, we’ll help you unload and launch your boat.  Yacht club members are eligible to use our fleet of sailing school boats for the races.

 

We also host a sailing school run by our separate non-profit Crooked Lake Sailors organization, we hold junior and adult classes twice per day, using our fleet of Sunfish, 420’s, and Harpoons.
