We are so glad to officially host the 2024 Sunfish/SOL race around Harker's Island on July 20th, 2024.
This is a 501c(3) tax deductible event for all participants.
All proceeds go to support and promote youth sailing at local Sailing Schools.
This year at Harkers Island we welcome a new bridge with 45 feet of vertical clearance. The start of the race is set 2.5 hours before low tide and with the dredging happening at Shell Point we expect a deeper channel in that area. These changes bring new sailing strategies to all the sailors. Two-time champion Paul Welles is returning to defend his title. The Southport crew is coming back with a great entertaining dinner and Phil Coccari will be back to do his amazing drone work (like these videos from last year
